The Weyborne Estate
Beguiling, beautiful and intriguing, with a dash of English decadence

Founded in the 1600’s, The Weyborne estate is the picture of luxury and exclusivity, residing in the stunning South Downs estate. Steeped in a rich history and wondrous stories, the ancient terroir has been the inspiration for many; poet Tennyson being one of the notable neighbours that cherished the River Wey’s best kept secret.
An Arcadian idyll, The Ballad of Oriana, discovered in a 1905 copy of Tennyson’s poet work serves as inspiration to the exquisite South Downs sparkling wine. A masterpiece of romantic poetry, centred on love, loyalty, and fate lie at the heart of the design - originally illustrated by Eleanor Brickdale.
Oriana also means ‘Golden Dawn’, this romantic translation nestles itself into the wines of Weyborne through a glorious golden colour and the time at which Weyborne grapes are harvested. The design is reminiscent of a classical romance poem, steeped in elegance through the bottles design and complexity in the ornate label, with the bow directing the westerly winds that are memorialised in the Temple of the Winds landmark.
