William Gladstone, four times Prime Minister had a deep love for Scotland. He signed the Spirits Act of 1860 which allowed the blending of Scotch for the first time. Known by his moniker of ‘The Grand Old Man’ his other love was felling trees with his ecclectic collection of axes. 

We created a stunning identity for The Gladstone Axe brand, along with packaging, bottle design and bespoke piece of literature. Our label depicts a young William Gladstone with his trusty axe, while the bottle has a glorious embossing that shows him felling a mighty tree.
