Yoshitsugu Komasa, Fourth President, developed this stunning whisky project, naming it in honour of his grandfather, Kanosuke Komasa who's family founded the original company in 1883 as shochu producers. Kanosuke Distillery are an award winning and luxurious Japanese single malt whisky producer, established by the Komasa-Jyozo family in 2017.

Distilled, matured, and bottled in Kyushu, Southern Japan, the distillery benefits from the natural tropical environment of the Kagoshima Prefecture, perfectly positioned on Japan’s longest sand beach.

The ‘Mellow Land, Mellow Whisky’ eludes to the warm tropical climate to develop the great flavour characteristics in a short space of time. The range of flavour from distillation and maturation has created the complex and decadent taste of Kanosuke Whisky. Our label has been designed with stunning mellow gold colours on a smooth long necked bottle that flows and falls.
